Agenda Items

  1. Snack Policy
    • All members must bring own snacks.
    • Sharing not forbidden, but not encouraged
  2. Philanthropy Initiative - Great Homeless Smokeout
    • Ann: outsourced Smokeout duties to North County High Objectivist Society. No feedback yet. Assume homelessness is being eradicated.
    • Peter L.: approached homeless-looking man outside of LensCrafters. He was not homeless, just "weird."
  3. Outreach Initiative - Laissez-faire Fair
    • Ann: Turnout light, possibly due to competition from the free Brooks & Dunn concert in Gainsville.
    • Vlad: networked with 4 different people, learned about the Society. Great place to network. Stands for what America should be. Love networking.
    • Peter A.: thought this meeting involved snacks. (leaves)
    • Vlad: It's all about the networking. Valuable contacts make your business grow.
    • Mike: Agreement on value of networking. Back to topic.
    • Max: Did not attend Laissez-faire Fair as an act of freewill.
    • Mike: The Society needs to target people like Max. People too free to attend meetings.
    • Max: Motion to define Objectivist Society membership by lack of attendance.
    • Simone: Seconds motion. Sick of celebrating freedom in the Adult Continuing Ed. Center.

Plebiscite - Membership to the Forsyth County Objectivist Society is henceforth open to people who do not attend meetings or functions
